TRANSLATION OF LETTER RECEIVED FROM THE OFFICIAL COLLEGE OF ADMINISTRATORS

REGULATIONS OF PREVENTION OF LABOUR RISKS

It is obligatory to adopt the necessary measures to ensure security and health to the workers in the communities we administrate and in our own working centres by means of adopting the necessary measures and activities for the prevention of risks of work established by the "Ley de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales", Law 31/1995 of 8th November, BOE 10/11/1995 and further dispositions developed.

On the other hand the labour authorities through work inspections are insisting every time more in the fulfilment of the regulations, asking for the presentation of the documentation established by the Law 31/1995:

  1. Evaluation of safety and health risks and planning of preventive actions.
  2. Measures of protection and prevention to adopt and, if due, protection material that must be used.
  3. Result of the periodical controls of the labour conditions and the activities of the staff.
  4. Practice of the control of the health conditions of the staff.

It is thus necessary to take conscience of the responsibilities we have in our office as administrators of a community, and make sure that within the communities an evaluation of risks is carried out and the necessary planning of preventive actions applying for the "servicios de pevención ajenos", contracting, if this is considered necessary, one of the existing companies in this sector.

We also understand that it is our duty to notify this to the presidents and owners of our communities, so that they consider including within the budget the necessary items so as to carry out the preventive actions of risks for the safety and health of their staff.

Our college will collaborate in the most adequate way so as to instruct our members and this important issue will be taken into consideration in curses and future conferences.
